The best, most succulent piece of meat our dear hero has found so far comes from the grell ... something about a floating, many-tentacled creature with a beak just screams "EAT ME!". And so, having developed a taste for abberation flesh, our humble-yet-mighty hero Ssissth has brought us an interesting recipe.
Grell Griddle-Cakes
Ingredients:
1/3 tsp olive oil
1/4 cup of liquid (any liquid is fine)
3/4 cup flour
pinch of salt
2 lbs. grell meat (fresh preferable)
1/2 cup rat meat, finely chopped
Directions: Using a large bowl, and the non-swatty end of your gnome-killin' mace, mash all the ingredients together. Mash and mash and mash. Now, using your tongue, lick the resulting mass of goo until it is well-coated. Dump the contents into a large cookpot and bring to a light boil, stirring frequently to avoid burning the mixture. Take the resulting thick substance out of the cookpot, drop it on the ground, and let it cool for several minutes. Now, tear several pieces off, shape them into round flat patties with your hands. If the dough won't cooperate, mash it some more, possibly with the business end of the gnome-killin' mace. Now place the patties into a frying implement, and sear it until it's nice and black on the outside and still raw on the inside. Spit on it in the traditional gnomish way, and raise your gnome-skull glasses high in toast. Eat as quickly as you can, to avoid someone else coming by and stealing your hard-earned meal.
Yum, yum!
